Description The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Lead Program Analyst to oversee cost, schedule, and performance requirements of major acquisition programs. The successful candidate will bring demonstrated leadership in acquisition program management, personnel supervision, and advanced communication and analytical skills. This role is critical in supporting DHS’s mission to safeguard the nation through efficient program execution and resource management. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the cost, schedule, and performance of major acquisition programs or projects within DHS. Supervise and mentor personnel, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and mission success. Provide programmatic and analytical support , as outlined in DHS SOW 2 and sub-sections, to ensure program goals are met. Develop and deliver high-quality program documentation, reports, and briefings for DHS leadership and stakeholders. Collaborate with DHS teams and external partners to align acquisition strategies with mission objectives. Utilize advanced project management methodologies to monitor progress, mitigate risks, and ensure timely completion of milestones. Employ strong analytical skills to evaluate program performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain effective communication with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, both orally and in writing. Ensure compliance with DHS policies, federal acquisition regulations, and project governance standards. Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline. Experience Minimum of eight (8) years of experience overseeing cost, schedule, and performance of major acquisition programs or projects within such programs. Proven track record of supervising personnel and ensuring successful program delivery. Certifications Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – required. Skills Advanced oral and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook . Strong analytical skills consistent with DHS Statement of Work (SOW) 2 requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
