The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc ("nVent") and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems. As a part of nVent, the Electrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
    \n
  • Day shift schedule with overtime (5:30 am - 4:00 pm M-Th, 5:30 am - 3 pm F, plus some Saturday mornings).
  • \n
  • Reference blueprint to determine job requirements.
  • \n
  • Gather necessary materials and perform layout per specifications.
  • \n
  • Set up and adjust MIG welding machine.
  • \n
  • Perform MIG welding operations to join rolled aluminum pieces.
  • \n
  • Visually examine welds for adherence to quality standards; reweld defective joints and remove surplus slag, flux, and spatter using a brush, pad, buffer, and/or grinder.
  • \n
  • Apply weld stencil and issue call for inspection.
  • \n
  • Operate cutting torch and manual plasma cutter as needed.
  • \n
  • Perform ongoing housekeeping duties to keep the work area organized and clear of clutter, scrap, and debris.
  • \n
  • Consistently comply with all safety rules.
  • \n

YOU HAVE:
    \n
  • At least 1 year of MIG welding experience or training.
  • \n
  • Able to accurately read a tape measure and blueprints.
  • \n
  • Able to pass skills tests on the above.
  • \n
