Job Description As a
Welder , you will be responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on metal components and assemblies. You will use a wide range of fabrication tools and equipment to ensure strong, precise welds that meet customer and company standards.
Duties and Responsibilities \n - Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
\n - Select equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques
\n - Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
\n - Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
\n - May operate fabrication equipment such as CNC torch, CNC anglematic, CNC fabripunch, and other component production equipment
\n - Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys
\n - Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits
\n - Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
\n - Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals
\n - Clean laser beds and assist the operators and shop as needed.

Qualifications Skills and Qualifications \n - 2+ years of welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
\n - Proficiency with MIG, TIG, laser welding; Stick welding a plus.
\n - Strong understanding of weld symbols, blueprints, and measuring tools.
\n

Education - High school diploma or equivalent required(welding certification preferred).
\n
Pay Range: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
