About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its TV Networks' business units within the new publicly traded company, SpinCo. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the Chief Accounting Officer organization, overseeing the controllership group and ensuring that all operational accounting processes, monthly and quarterly close coordination, and internal control activities are in line with company policies, US GAAP, and SOX controls. This role requires a trusted advisor to the TV Networks CFO, participation in financial and operational policy formulation, and the management of both external and internal audits. The Vice President will also be responsible for the development and standardization of global accounting processes and will act as a key point of contact between the business units and corporate controllership. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years' of relevant accounting/controller senior management experience, a CPA, and a strong background in US GAAP and SOX. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to lead change, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams. While not mandatory, experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, SAP, and the media or cable industry is preferred. The Vice President will be expected to mentor and develop staff, collaborate on reporting system enhancements, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information. This is a pivotal time to join the company, as it prepares for the spin-off and the successful candidate will play a significant role in the transition.
