We have a Class A Driver Solo opening in Clarksville, TN for New CDL Graduates that have received their CDL License. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder.
6 - 9 Months Experience ask about our Extended Driver Development Program!
We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so. Gain hands-on experience from the finest instructors in the industry.

- Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
- Weekly Minimum Guarantee during training $1025 per week
- Weekly Minimum Guarantee after training $1255 per week
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.46 per Mile
- Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per Stop
- Drop and Hook Pay: $6.00 per Drop/Hook
- Paid Training
- Schedule: Monday – Friday; some Saturday's Or Tuesday - Saturday
- Start Time: Must be Open to Bid System for Routes Based on Seniority

Requirements
- 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
• Ability to:
- Follow written and/or oral instructions
- Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
- Perform other duties as assigned
