divh2Strategic Communications Specialist/h2pWho will provide operational and strategic communications support to a DoD program. This will include supporting communications and outreach campaigns, authoring content, and development of communication products and solutions. Communication with the organizations senior-level staff and collaboration with a broad range of personnel is also required. The position will be located at the Pentagon. This position requires an Active TS/SCI clearance./ppResponsibilities:/pulliEffective creation and execution of communication strategies to support our clients mission and priorities./liliProvide communication support that shall assist with managing enterprise-level internal and external communications channels, products, and partnerships./liliProvide communications services that assist to convey, promote, and disseminate information to stakeholders related to ongoing and future initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders to produce communications products and plans/liliLead the development and production of reports, articles, presentations, scripts, talking points, testimony, web content, new (social) media content, and press releases in a clear and concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences./liliConvey, promote, and disseminate various materials related to the organizations priorities and initiatives. Liaise with partners to strategically communicate. This includes, but not exclusive, to working with Public Affairs Officials, Legislative Affairs, and other DoD components./liliPlan and manage projects and events, as necessary./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliBachelors degree and 5+ years of experience supporting executive level DoD leadership with experience writing, editing, preparing briefs, and creating talking points for leadership./liliSignificant expertise in communications principles, methods, practices, and techniques, including skill in presenting ideas in speech and in written form to inform and persuade audiences at all levels of the organization./liliExperience designing, developing, and delivering strategic communications through a variety of media, including print and digital./liliMust be able to adapt to changing environments within DoD and be flexible with expectations to communication outreach tasks./liliExceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in multiple methods of visual communication./liliProficiency with the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project, Visio, etc./liliActive TS/SCI clearance required./li/ulpWork Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs. Mental Demands: Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism./p/div
