Reporting intoTechnology Manager, Senior SoftwareEnggwill workwithinternal and external developers responsible for the development andsubsequentsupport of thevarious platformservices components underpinning all the customer facing applications across Norstella. As part of a large technology group, theSenior SoftwareEnggwill work with product management,architectureand other software engineering teamsin support of the product development roadmap.

We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer withgreat communicationskills, deep experience in software engineering, and most importantly, the ability and willingness to keep learning in this ever-changing technology landscape.

Education:Minimumbachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or related field of study, or equivalent experience

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work on projects with significant complexity

• Be an excellent teammate, focusing on results, collaboration and winning as a team

• Havea strong senseof ownership of the solutions that your team works on

• Be willing to work with and invest yourself in learningnew technologies, programming languages, databases etc.

• Review existing technologies for suitability and make recommendations for change

Key Requirements:

• Excellent understanding of the foundational technologies of the web: HTML, CSS,JavaScript(including knowledge of JS frameworksand libraries, jQuery,React), AJAX

• Proficiencyin modern programming languages likeNode.js, C#, Python, Java, .NET

• 5+ years in SoftwareEngineering Experiencewith service-oriented and/or microservices architecture

• Hands-on experience working with cloud technology (preferably AWS), and various AWS services like S3, API Gateway, App Sync

• 3+ years hands-on experience working with cloud technology (preferably AWS), and various AWS services like Lambda functions, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS etc.

• Proficiencywith RESTful API and API security frameworks, service-oriented and/or microservices architecture

• Advanced knowledge ofmaintainingand debugging live software systems

• Strong investigation, code analysis and code review skills

• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL etc is a big plus

• Experience with Data Structures, Algorithms, and general Computer Science concepts

• Good understanding of code design principles

• Experience with Agile development and delivery – Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban methodologies

• Experience within pharma/healthcare sector is a plus

• Experience with “Test First” (TDD) software development process

• Experience with Agile development and delivery – Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban methodologies

• Hands on DevOps experience – Terraform, Serverless, AWS Cloud Formation, CI/CD in AWS, Security groups, auto scaling etc, Git/GitHub, Monitoring, Log Analytics
