Summary & Role Information: We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Basis) (f/m/d) for the newly founded Central Build team as part of SAP’s Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the buildout of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry. You will be responsible for the buildout of Single Tenant Solutions in regions around the globe. A part of your responsibilities you will also be upskilling newly staffed regional operations staff. What you'll do: Initial build and implementation of SAP Solutions across Sovereign Cloud regions Analyse deployment issues and support continuous improvement of implementation documentation Working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape provisioning Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the services Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with other global team members What you'll bring: Expertise with GitLab Experience with Terraform and Ansible Expertise with Linux, SUSE Debugging/Troubleshooting skills Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities Excellent communication and prioritization skills Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Beneficial: Experience in Implementation, upgrade and support of SAP systems, running on Windows/Linux OS and HANA/Sybase/Oracle/SQL Server is a plus Knowledge of multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies, in the areas of build and support for ECC, CRM, PI, EP, BW, IBP and HANA is a plus Good knowledge of AWS/Azure and GCP.
