As a Security Officer Retail Mall Patrol in Canoga Park, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout the property. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, and you will be a visible resource for guests, tenants, and staff. This position requires you to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. You will be responsible for responding to incidents, providing exceptional customer service, and communicating clearly with both the public and your team. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or unusual circumstances according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff and management to address security-related needs and provide support as required.
• Assist in guiding visitors and customers, offering directions or information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
