Part-Time Dental Assistant – Periodontics & Implant Dentistry

Our specialty periodontal and implant dentistry practice is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a professional and supportive environment.

Position Overview

The Dental Assistant will support the periodontist during clinical procedures, ensure compliance with sterilization and infection control protocols, and contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and eager to grow within the field of periodontics and implant dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting during periodontal and implant procedures
• Preparing operatories and sterilizing instruments in compliance with OSHA and CDC standards
• Taking digital radiographs and intraoral images
• Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Providing clear pre- and post-operative instructions to patients
• Assisting with patient scheduling and administrative tasks when needed

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Dental Assistant license required
• Radiology certification preferred
• Previous experience in periodontics, oral surgery, or implant dentistry strongly preferred (willing to train motivated candidates)
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Schedule

• Part-time position (approximately 1-2 days per week; specific schedule to be discussed)
