Position: Pipe Welder
Reports to: Pipe Shop Manager
Location: Athens, GA and/or Commerce, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Saturdays as needed, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
Status: Full-time | Overtime Available

Note: This is a local, in-shop position. Per diem is not available.

Position Summary

We're hiring Pipe Welders for immediate openings in our Commerce, GA and Athens, GA fabrication shops. You'll weld and assemble pipe systems for large-scale industrial projects in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, chemical, aerospace, and general manufacturing sectors.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have at least 1 year of pipe welding experience or a relevant welding certificate
• Be familiar with ASME B31.3 and standard construction practices
• Know how to read and interpret weld symbols, drawings, and procedures
• Be comfortable working with carbon steel, stainless steel, and sanitary tube
• Be able to pass a practical pipe welding test
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all OSHA safety guidelines
• Bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Combo welding experience (e.g., TIG + MIG)
• Familiarity with TipTIG, robotic pipe welding, or pipe programming
• Pipe fitting knowledge with ASME B31.1 and B31.3
• NDE/weld inspection experience (RT, UT, MT, PT)
• NCCER Certification or formal technical training

This role is not eligible for per diem, as it is not a travel-based position. Candidates must be local to the Athens or Commerce, GA area.
