Position: Golf Course Assistant Manager

Reports to: Golf Manager

Salary Range: $14.75 - 16.69 per hour

SUMMARY: Part time Assist Golf Course Manager with managerial tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep shop, merchandise, and outside area neat and clean.
• Perform duties in accordance with daily procedures.
• Collect green fees & car fees in accordance with City of Bridgeton established rates.
• Check resident I.D. cards
• Enforce all rules.
• Answer the phone for tee times, messages, and questions.
• Prepare area for next day play.
• Monitor golf course to insure proper pace of play in accordance with the rules of the facility.
• Sell merchandise, food and other items as need arises. Including taking special orders for items not currently in stock.
• Report hazardous conditions or potential problems to the Golf Professional immediately.
• Schedule appointments for sales people and lessons according to the daily procedure within the Golf Professionals appointment book.
• Be responsible for snack bar personnel, starter, ranger, and car transporters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Spread hospitality and create good will among all customers and their guests.
• Assist in the management of tournaments.
• Monitor rest rooms for supplies & clean towels, hand soap, and toilet tissue.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Mental: Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately. Must be able to concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to work independently and follow both oral and written instructions. Communicates clearly both verbally and written. Remains calm in difficult situations.

Physical:Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time.

Working Conditions: Works in cooled/heated building as well as outdoor climate
