JOB SUMMARY: The Epic Clinical Analyst will review clinical processes to recommend EHR-based solutions that enhance patient care, documentation, and operational efficiency. Provide role-specific training and education to ensure staff proficiency in utilizing Epic tools for substance use disorder (SUD) care. Collaborate with the Epic Team and Director of Epic Systems to provide clinical expertise in optimizing SUD workflows and system utilization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Creates and delivers tailored training materials (e.g., user guides, e-learning modules, presentations) specific to SUD workflows;
- Conducts role-specific training sessions in various formats (classroom, virtual, or one-on-one) for new hires, existing staff, and specialized teams;
- Teaches staff how to navigate and utilize Epic's custom workflows and tools tailored for SUD care;
- Ensures training aligns with the users' roles and responsibilities to support efficient documentation, treatment planning, and billing;
- Collaborates with department leaders to assess and identify team-specific training needs;
- Analyzes clinical workflows and recommend Epic-based solutions to optimize patient care and operational efficiency;
- Provides on-site support during go-lives to assist staff with troubleshooting and real-time guidance;
- Facilitates end-user testing of workflows, templates, and system customizations to ensure readiness before implementation;
- Assesses user proficiency after training sessions to identify gaps;
- Provides remediation or additional training for individuals or teams as needed to achieve competency;
- Offers refresher courses and updates on new Epic features, ensuring users stay proficient and informed about system changes;
- Others related duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Must have demonstrated competency or ability to attain competency within a reasonable period for each of the following:
- Knowledge of and proficiency with electronic health records in healthcare settings
- High proficiency in MS Office 365 basic operating system, Epic EHR platform, databases, virtual meeting platforms, internet, and ability to learn new or updated software;
- Ability to provide effective training to individuals with varying levels of knowledge and learning styles, utilizing different delivery systems;
- Ability and willingness to travel as required for assignments;
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a demonstrated positive, solution-oriented focus;
- Effective communication skills (oral and written);
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through;
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines;
- Critical thinking skills;
- Ability to maintain strict confidence and protect PHI as required by HIPAA, 42 CFR, and Oregon Statutes;
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships;

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required;
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in SUD including completing client assessments, service plan using ASAM criteria or current CADC-I certification
- Experience providing application support to staff, with a minimum of one (1) year using electronic health records is required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must maintain a valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one upon hire and be insurable under the organization’s auto liability coverage policy (minimum 21 years of age and at least 3 years without any DUI or moving violations) and have a reliable vehicle with adequate insurance to travel as needed
PREFERRED :
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
- Knowledge and proficiency in OCHIN Epic a plus
- Co-Occurring certifications in mental health a plus
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish a plus
