Position Title: Care Management Support Coordinator (Remote) 

Locations: Remote - PST 

Anticipated Start Dates: 11/24

Expected Duration: 3 Months 

Job Type: Contract to hire

Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST | No Overtime

Pay Rate $23/hr on W2.

Need: Required: HS diploma/GED, 1–2 yrs in managed care/medical admin, Microsoft Office skills; Preferred: high-volume call center (60–70 calls/day), sales or customer engagement experience, and knowledge of Managed Care, Medicaid, or Medicare.

Position Title:  Care Management Support Coordinator (CMSC)
Department: Administrative Care Management
Location: Remote (California Markets – Ambetter CA)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST | No Overtime

Position Purpose

The Care Management Support Coordinator supports administrative care management activities by performing outreach, handling inbound calls, and scheduling services. This role serves as a key point of contact for members, providers, and internal staff to resolve inquiries, facilitate care coordination, and ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound and inbound calls to assist members with care plan next steps, scheduling, and educational resources.
  • Provide guidance on available health plan and community resources to enhance member care and experience.
  • Maintain accurate, non-clinical member records in accordance with compliance and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support member onboarding through welcome calls, letters, and distribution of educational materials.
  • Address and resolve inquiries from members and providers regarding care plans, procedures, and benefits.
  • Make referrals to local programs and services addressing Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) needs.
  • Apply working knowledge of health plan policies, procedures, and available resources.
  • Perform other administrative or support duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1–2 years of related experience in a managed care setting, medical office, or healthcare facility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

  • Experience in a high-volume call center (handling 60–70 calls per day)
  • Sales or customer engagement experience
  • Familiarity with Managed Care, Medicaid, or Medicare

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain an average of 60–70 calls per day to meet productivity goals.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Meet internal metrics and daily performance reports.

  1. Microsoft Office proficiency
  2. Proven high-volume call experience
  3. Strong customer service and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Background in managed care, Medicaid/Medicare, or health plan operations
  • Previous remote or metric-driven call center experience
  • Demonstrated selling or engagement skills

Disqualifiers:

  • No experience with high-volume call handling
  • Employment gaps exceeding 1.5 years
