Position Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Wage: Based on Experience

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temporary position to support our manufacturing client’s accounting team in managing outstanding customer accounts. This fully onsite position in Menomonee Falls, WI is targeted to last until January 2026, but there is a possibility to be hired on by the company. The ideal candidate will be proactive, diplomatic, and comfortable handling sensitive financial conversations while maintaining professionalism. Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers regarding past due invoices via phone and email
- Navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and courtesy
- Draft clear, polite, and professional correspondence about account status
- Research and extract invoice and payment history from WorkWise ERP system
- Understand and apply payment and discount terms to customer accounts
- Execute collection processes and evaluate appropriate collection options
- Exercise sound judgment when referring accounts to outside collections or closing them
- Maintain a balance between firmness and diplomacy in all customer interactions
- Use Excel and other reporting tools to analyze aging reports and account activity
- Clearly communicate internal positions regarding account standing
- Apply critical thinking to due dates, payment trends, and customer behavior
- Remain calm and focused when handling escalated or challenging customer interactions
- Understand and assist in the cash application process within the ERP system
- Provide support to other accounting tasks and projects as needed

Requirements for Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Prior experience in Accounts Receivable or credit/collections
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (WorkWise experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
- Ability to manage time and prioritize multiple accounts effectively
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Professionalism under pressure and in difficult conversations
